As part of this update, we’ve renamed the plugin to better reflect its expanded functionality. Previously known as “Simple Custom Fields for WooCommerce Blocks Checkout”, the plugin focused solely on adding custom fields to your checkout process. With Version 2.0, the scope has grown, making the new name a perfect fit for the new features now available.
Adding custom fields was made possible on WooCommerce 8.9, with the “Additional Checkout Fields” API.
From WooCommerce 9.6 onwards (released just a few days ago), we can also start customizing some aspects of the core fields.
